Welcome to the Wilton Community Chess Club. We aim to bring some fun and learning to the Wilton community, and play some chess as well. We meet every Sunday during school term, 9am to 11am at the Bingara Pulse Cafe, next to the gym and swimming pool (via Kirkwood Chase and Sarazen Crescent, Wilton – see map below). A gold coin donation is requested, to allow for the purchase of equipment or for mini-event prizes

For the first term of 2015, we are feeling our way, to see how much interest there is in the chess club. The calendar shows some local chess events as well. Age is no barrier – adults and children most welcome!

We have two chess sets and boards at the moment, kept at the Pulse facilities (just ask the staff for access). So if you want to be certain of getting a game, please bring along your own set and board if you have them.

Scott Humphreys will be was leading the game organising with occasional hints and tips thrown in. He is a resident of Bingara Gorge and has been playing and teaching chess all his life, as well as running chess events in Victoria and New Zealand. Scott has a Working with Children approval, and is a member of the Wollongong Chess Club.
